Self Defense

The goal of our self defense training is to educate you and provide knowledge of self defense and situational awareness. After participating in our training sessions or one of our workshops you will have obtained necessary skills to defend yourself and be able to increase your chances surviving an attack. With experience as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor for the National Dutch Police and years of martial arts training Patrick has created a self defense strategy that will apply in any real life situation.

Many self defense courses and trainings use complicated techniques, that require months, if not years of training to master. These techniques will be hard to use, especially in a stressful situation where you might fear for your safety. Stress is an important factor when it comes to self defense and in most courses completely overlooked. The self defense strategy that Patrick has created uses principles and gross motor skills that you can use even in the most stressful situations and is offered in the form of a beginners and an advanced program.

During the beginners training and courses you will learn:

  • How stress effects you and your abilities.

  • A method to assess a possible threat and how to respond accordingly

  • How to position yourself and keep an attacker at distance

  • A principle to help you make decisions in a stressful and threatening situation

  • How to free yourself from the most common (choke) holds

  • This program focuses mainly on an attacker using physical force

The advanced training program goes into more detail of all training points of the beginners course and adds

  • Higher level attack and defending techniques

  • Defense against multiple attackers

  • Defense against an attacker wielding a weapon

  • Defending yourself whilst laying on the ground

We offer self defense training in one on one sessions (personal training), small group sessions and as workshops. If you wish to have more information about our self defense programs please click the button below.
