Exercise and movement is a crucial part of a healthy lifestyle. With regular exercise you can greatly increase your quality of life. During our personal training sessions we try to educate you and guide you to achieve your personal goals. Not only will we guide you through the sessions and the exercise, we will teach and educate you on how to move properly with the correct technique. We will teach you about functional movement patterns and how these movements are a base for everything you do in your daily life. Learning how to move properly is the first step to achieving quality of life.

The majority of our clients are retired and ages 65+. We are NOT a "no pain, no gain" type training company. We care for our clients and help them at the right level. With a science based approach to training, we use functional movement patterns geared to our energy systems and mostly body weight exercises to achieve our goals.

Corrective Exercise

​

It is not uncommon for certain muscles in our body to become overactive, under-active, tight or sore. Either due to an acute injury or over time by over- or miss-use. This can create discomfort or even pain, maybe you have even thought about surgery. By teaching you ways to release tension in over-active or tight muscles and exercises to activate under-active and weak muscles, balance can be restored and discomfort and pain can be avoided. During the sessions you will be educated in Self Myofacial Release (SMR), foam rolling, stretching and corrective exercise.

Your goal might be to lose a few pounds. We can definitely help. Our weight loss program is science based and based on healthy lifestyle choices. Our goal is not to have you lose x amount of lbs in a short period of time. We want to help you lower your body fat % and keep the weight off the healthy way. During our sessions we will discuss nutrition and show you ways to lose weight without starving yourself. We will design an exercise routine which will go hand in hand with your nutrition choices and will help you lose those pounds the healthy way and keep them off in the future!

Nutrition is one of the foundation pillars a healthy lifestyle is built upon. Knowing what, when and how much to eat and drink is important and can benefit you in numerous ways. Making the right choices can result in you feeling better, having a better immune system, decreasing the chances of ailments and illnesses and boost your energy and hormone levels. During our sessions we will educate you on making the right choices and how certain foods effect your body. We will delve into the science of macro nutrients and how they effect you.

Core stability and Balance training

Our core stability and balance helps us literally stay on our two feet. Increasing your core strength will also help your posture and is known to be the number one remedy to decrease back pain.  Balance and stability is an important part of life, especially during movement. During these sessions we will work on improving your core strength and your balance with fun and interactive exercise.

Mobility & Flexibility

​

Being able to move freely and in full range of motion is truly liberating. You feel free and your body moves smoothly and operates like a well oiled machine! Restriction of of movement can cause you to have discomfort or even pain and moving your body just doesn't feel right. During mobility and flexibility training we teach and train you in ways to increase movement in full range of motion, by using our own body as an exercise tool. In addition we discuss dynamic and static forms of stretching.

Optimal Lifestyle Training

The ultimate goal is achieving an optimal lifestyle! During the sessions we educate you on everything you need to know in order to achieve this goal. We discuss Nutrition, Positive Mindset, how to deal with Stress, Functional Movement Patterns and apply everything during our sessions and beyond. We create healthy lifestyle habits that ultimately create the best and most optimal quality of life and also maintain this.

SESSIONS

Adapt and Excel offers individual personal training sessions of 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute sessions. The sessions are offered one on one in our studio and we offer virtual sessions via Zoom, Facetime and Whattsapp. We take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and clean training environment.
